Our Mentors
Denise Pang

Denise is an excellent coach. She is always poised, very quick to build rapport and displayed first class skill-sets. She constantly leads her coachees to reflect on their people management issues with questions. I particularly like her approach of asking what would be the worst case scenario if we are to take the most apprehensive decision in a conflict situation. I am always able to reflect on every session and practice them with great success.
Denise has been a Certified Terrific Mentor since 2008, working closely under the mentorship of Founder, John Bittleston. Over the last 3 years, she has delivered TerrificMentors International Personal and Corporate Mentoring to individuals and businesses. She has also participated as a co-speaker with John on several talks on Leadership to the Singapore Management University (SMU), professional associations as well as the recent 2011 Secretaries’ Summit.
Denise is also an Executive Coach, one of the few in Singapore certified by both the International Coach Federation (Professional Certified Coach) and the International Association of Coaching (Level 1). ICF and IAC are leading global organizations dedicated to advancing the coaching profession to the highest standards of excellence.
Prior to Coaching, Denise built a 15-year career in IT and Management Consulting, working for multinational corporations including Hewlett-Packard and Accenture across Asia Pacific. She spent four years in Beijing, China establishing Accenture’s presence in the telecommunications industry. Denise has extensive experience working with leadership teams in multi-cultural environments to achieve matrix targets and specializes in problem solving, conflict resolution, complex negotiation and leadership development.
Denise combines coaching competencies and inter-disciplinary skills with corporate experience to coach and mentor over 200 individuals in mid to senior management levels in both public and private sector organizations in:

- Changing Workplace Behaviours
Denise graduated with double majors in Linguistics and Sociology at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She received her Professional Coach Certification from the International Coach Academy (ICA) and is the Honorary Secretary of the ICF Singapore Chapter Executive Committee. Denise currently resides in Singapore.

Tough Love
by John Bittleston
Can’t see the player? – Click here.
We hear about tough love from time to time. It is meant to be a caring but disciplined form of control by parent or by manager. It conjures up images of barking Sergeant-Majors on the parade ground, or of bosses meting out unpleasant orders softened by an Ang Pow.
