Why you may need a Mentor? What can a Mentor do and not do?

A good Mentor draws out from you what you already have within yourself.

To be a Mentor is to help people to:

  • empower themselves
  • make use of the innate abilities within them
  • set themselves free of the constraints that limit their lives
  • enhance what has already been given to them – choice

Choice is the greatest gift we have in this world.

The second greatest gift is knowledge we learn from our parents, teachers, friends, life.

To turn that knowledge into a sensible use of choice requires reflection and analysis.

A Mentor will help to make that reflection and analysis second nature to you so that everything you do will result in good choices. Of course, you won't get quite that far. If you made perfect choices all the time you'd be perfect, and nobody is perfect.

The happiest, most successful people are those who make the largest number of good choices.

You probably need a Mentor if

  • you are uncertain about how to handle people
  • you do not know what career or job you should do (next)
  • you need help in starting a business, or refinancing one
  • you are uncertain about your own abilities or competence
  • you want to improve certain skills such as writing, being creative, managing finance
  • you need to manage your time better

A good Mentor holds your hand, not your keyboard

A sensible Mentor will not do the work for you; he'll help you to do the work for yourself. That's often harder than doing it for you!

What can you expect from enlisting the help of a Mentor?

  • Improved, clear thinking about what you want out of life
  • A well thought-out career path with good jobs to match
  • Clear objectives for your business and a plan to achieve them
  • Self-confidence – and confidence in your dealings with other people
  • A mentally healthier life-style with much more enjoyment and satisfaction

What can you expect from a TerrificMentor?

All the above - TERRIFICALLY
